All proceeds from auction going to this good cause Prints, (£70) available from myself - info@marionmorrison.co.uk To celebrate the beautiful restoration of The Spanish City in Whitley Bay, another impression - this time the 2 towers have more elaborate summits. Another one of my favourite places......
After months of travelling this year, I take a late stroll near home to reacquaint myself with one of my favourite places. The tide is in, the waves are high, the sky is lilac, and In the dim evening light a solitary light shines in the lifeboat station.
The Tropical Spice Garden in Penang is a magical place. The canopy of trees provides a shady sanctuary for an amazing array of flora and fauna, one of which is the Spider Lily. Not too keen on spiders, but I love this beautifully delicate plant.
The familiar sight of St Mary's Lighthouse on this tiny island just north of Whitley Bay - It was built on the sight of an 11th century monastic chapel. This painting will be on display at the Tower House Gallery, Seaton Sluice from Sunday April 9th, along with more of my new work. Please come along for the preview event on the Sunday 9th, 12-4pm with harp music and refreshments.
Don't forget to look up the next time you take a walk up Grey St, Newcastle. Hard to miss Grey's Monument at the top of a 130' column, but less obvious, a few glass domes of past and present which float in and out of view. More paintings, prints and cards available from Tower House Gallery, Seaton Sluice and The Links Gallery, Whitley Bay.
A simple image for a simple message in these troubled times. New Xmas card design for Xmas 2016. Cards on sale at the Tower House Art Gallery, Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay. Also original watercolours and prints.
The multicoloured cliff face, draped with early spring vegetation, near the site of the Great Buddha Of Leshan. As memorable as the great stone buddha himself.
